Easy to apply, GREAT results. We installed a new marble counter / vanity in our renovated bathroom and the marble supply house recommended the Stonetech Bulletproof sealer. We have used other Stonetech products: Revitalizer and Stone and Tile Cleaner, and they have proven to be superior in their results. The Cleaner is fabulous, which we use on our porcelain tile and granite kitchen counters. All Stonetech products are on Amazon. Stonetech notes their products have the correct P/H balance without harsh chemicals like in some supermarket stone clearers, and I trust Dupont in this respect. After 4 years using Revitalizer and Stone Cleaner on our granite it looks like the day we installed it – bright shiny finish and resistive to anything we might ‘throw’ or drop on it. The Bulletproof Sealer went on without any issues and the results were fabulous. I had never done this before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The ‘Sealer’ penetrates and seals the marble to resist spotting and discoloration, so you have to give it time to penetrate during each application. When you apply the sealer, some areas absorb more and other don’t, and remain wet, which is why they tell you towel dry it after each application. The process requires a few applications, and Stonetech has clear and concise instructions online. Our counter was 8′ X 2′ with a backsplash, not very big, so rather than use a paint roller or paint brush (as recommended), I bought (at Home Depot) a square applicator made for edging paint, which includes some helpful rollers, so you can edge right up to wall without smearing the sealer on your painted walls. The pad on the applicator worked perfectly and after 3 applications I followed the instructions and waited just a few minutes for the sealer to dry on the last application and quickly buffed/toweled the sealer to a nice clear shine. If you don’t follow this last step, you will be left with a dull streaky finish. For any area that did not buff out completely clear, apply a bit more sealer and buff again. The results were fantastic, and the marble has a nice shine with all of its natural characteristics of unique veins and coloring. The one issue they mention is that you must let the sealer completely dry before using the area….they recommend 6-12+ hours….I did this on a Sunday afternoon, watched a football game during the applications and by Monday morning it was ready to use. Total application time 3 NFL football quarters, or about 2 hours in non football time.

WORKS WELL ON LIGHT POROSITY. This product was applied to a granite counter top as the original company who processed the granite did not put enough sealer leaving slight porosity. The counter had a shine but rough feel. I applied two coats of the Bulletproof sealer. It does work but the counter top would need multiple coats. I did apply this product to another part of the less porous area and it gave a nice coat to it. Follow the directions! I used a paintbrush which worked fine. I timed the first coat per directions and the result is perfect. There are no fumes with this product probably because it is water based. Definitely recommend this for more of a “coating” than a heavy duty sealer. I intend to use the Dupont Impregnator Pro on the very porous area.

Best Sealer That I’ve Tried on Marlana Countertops. Used this on 3 Marlana bathroom countertops, a world of improvement over the performance I got from my previous solvent based sealer! Easy to use and seals grout well. We built a custom home and discovered after a couple years that our grout was not sealed. After a thorough cleaning and allowing to dry, I applied the Aqua Mix product. It was very easy to apply and soaked in easily to the grout. Make sure you have your fan on as the fumes are a bit strong. Any excess that you get on the tile, can be easily removed by dampening a rag with the sealer and then wiping the tile down. It will remove any runs on vertical tile. For the shower basin, I poured small areas and used latex gloved hands to spread the sealer evenly. Then I used a grout sponge and rag to soak up any excess. I applied 2 coats a couple of hours apart. After 6 weeks, I have no soap scum buildup like before and the tile and grout is easier to clean. One tip, use a ph neutral cleaner and the sealer will last longer.

The Best Sealer I Have Found out There. I use this product professionally on all of my tile installations. Some people feel that tile and grout sealers are not effective or worth the hassle, well I highly disagree. Yes I have to go back to a job on a different day after the grout has dried to seal but when you are doing work professionally wouldn’t you rather put in an extra hour the next day so that your craftsmanship looks as good a year later as a day later? The product is pretty thin and applies nicely and you will get coverage on most surfaces but it will take multiple applications to get a truly waterproof finish on grout and porous tile. I tend to do 3 – 4 coats which takes between an hour to two from start to finish. When the product is done drying if applied correctly shouldn’t change the appearance of the tile either. My only issue with the product is the cost of the sealer it seems a little high but on the other hand you do get what you pay for. Overall this is a durable natural look sealer that is quick to apply and dries just as fast. Win Win in my opinion.
