Worked great. These drill bits did a quick and great job drilling into ceramic and porcelain tiles. No chips.

Drills through hardened steel. I thought it would be a good idea to repurpose some old bedframes. I did not realize that they are hardened spring steel. Literally recycled railroad rails. I quickly dulled some very good bits. An obscure forum recommended using a carbide bit made for natural stone. I made 4 holes 3/16 deep and could have done a few more.

Good for Stone, But Not Durable on Porcelain Tile. I used the BOSCH Bits for drilling through ceramic tiles, and they worked well overall. The carbide-tipped design made drilling through stone smooth and efficient. However, I found that the bits didn’t hold up as well when used on porcelain tile. After just two uses, I noticed some wear. They’re great for natural stone, but if you’re working with porcelain tile, I’d recommend using a different set or taking extra care.

Excellent product for Porcelain Tile. An incredible tool, that worked perfectly, and didn’t cost a fortune. Recently, I replaced my bathroom floor with porcelain tile, and had to remove the old toilet first. The old toilet ring was recessed, so I just abandoned it under the new floor. But, then I was tasked with installing a new “hold down” ring for the new toilet. I studied several Youtube videos on installing the plate, and talked to people who had recently drilled thru porcelain tile. They all gave me the impression I was in for a long, tedious project. I purchased some other “diamond tipped” drill bits that seemed to have little impact on the tile. Then, I ordered this DeWalt 1/4 inch Diamond Drill Bit. Following instructions, by using a portable drill and applying water, the bit drilled thru the tile with ease, in a matter of minutes. I had 5 holes drilled in no time.

Exactly what I needed. I used this to drill small holes at the top of terracotta ollas (to put 1/4” drip into ollas to replenish water). Drill works very well. Only hiccup was that the terracotta clogged the bit after each one, but I used a rigid wire to clear it out. Not a big deal. Clean holes and didn’t crack the pottery at all.

It will take several minutes to drill through just one 1/4 inch tile but the end result is perfect. I recently tiled a new shower stall and needed this to drill through the porcelain tiles to secure the mounting hardware for the glass walls. A few tips: Be patient. Don’t rush and don’t push. Just keep firm pressure and let the bit do the work. It will take several minutes to drill through just one 1/4 inch tile but the end result is perfect.

Worked for my shower valve tile repair. I had to bust out a tile in my shower wall to repair a shower valve. I was able to match my tile but it was oversized so I cut it down with a diamond grinder wheel I had to fit and then ordered this diamond hole saw since the box stores wanted double the price for a smaller diameter. It worked flawlessly for me to do a test cut or two and then cut 3 holes in my tile for installation. Would highly recommend for a homeowner doing a similar repair. Not sure how it would hold up for repetitive use, however I have no reason to think it wouldn’t.

My seedlings have started to produce flowers and I wanted to transfer some of them onto ceramic cups and bowls for display purposes. After purchasing a few beautiful cups and bowls, I found that drilling holes into ceramic material wasn’t easy. It took a couple of hours to drill five holes at the bottom of three cups using masonry bits. There had to be a better and quicker way. After some online research, I found that I needed diamond drill bits. A search on Amazon for inexpensive diamond bits led me to Neiko Tools’ Diamond Grit Hole Saw Drill Bit Set.

I needed to drill a hole in my granite countertop for a reverse osmosis water faucet, requiring a 1/2-inch diameter hole saw. After comparing options at Home Depot and Lowe’s, I noticed the Milwaukee hole saw was over $30. Curious about the price difference, I found mixed reviews about a more affordable brand, Neiko, with some users mentioning issues like melting. Despite initial hesitation, I decided to try the Neiko hole saw due to its lower price. The tool performed exceptionally well, cutting a perfect hole in about 15 minutes.

These bits worked quite well in my hands. I was able to drill six holes through porcelain tile and cement backer board in order to mount a grab bar in our shower. However, the bit is largely worn away, and I doubt that you could get many more holes out of it at this price though it was a great choice.
